Figurative ceramics, my favorite things to make. It includes wheelthrowing and sculpting too. Love both. I like their naive look and to see how they come alive. I'm experimenting with right timing (right stage of dryness), crucial for not having too much cracks. At this point I'm freaked out that there will be a lot of cracking in the kiln...., oh well, I just let them dry for a loooong time in the studio, wait, wait, wait and hope that my village people like the summer heat in the kiln just as much as I like a hot summer day next to a lake :)

She went through the first firing and she is fine, no cracks so far, I'm happy.
Crocker Art Museum in partnership with the The Creative Arts League of Sacramento is hosting the Crocker holiday Artisan Market at the Scottish Rite Center, 6151 H Street, Sacramento, CA from November 23. to 25. Friday 12.00 to 5.00 pm, Saturday 10.00 am to 5.00 pm and Sunday 10.00 am to 4.00 pm.
